26 October, 2009 - International conference «External Security Cooperation» in partnership with the Bertelsmann-Stiftung (Gütersloh, Germany) and the Centre for War and Peace Studies of the MGIMO-University. The main objectives of the conference were to review the progress achieved in obtaining particular goals envisioned in the Road Map as well as the problem areas, and to explore practical ways to enhance external security co-operation between the Russian Federation and the European Union.

23 October, 2009 - International conference «EU-Russia cooperation in energy and climate change issues», in partnership with the Bertelsmann-Stiftung (Gütersloh, Germany) and the Centre for War and Peace Studies of the MGIMO-University. The main objectives of the Conference were to review situation in energy security and confronting climate change and find ways for enhancing cooperation in these essential fields, including creation of material and legal conditions for essential energy transfer and energy trade in Europe and in the global context, elaboration and realisation of innovative joint projects, coordination in environmental issues in regard to the future Copenhagen conference.
