22 October, 2009 - International сonference «New Trends in the European Integration and the EU-Russia Relations» in partnership with the Bertelsmann-Stiftung (Gütersloh, Germany) and the Centre for War and Peace Studies of the MGIMO-University. The main objectives of the Conference were to review progress achieved in obtaining particular goals envisioned in the Road Maps, and to explore practical ways to enhance co-operation in economic sphere and civil contacts between the Russian Federation and the European Union, given the current state of the European integration project.

28 September - 3 October, 2009 - regional short-term courses was organised in Saratov at the request of Saratov administration. Following professors took part in the program: Professor I.M.Busygina (Director of the Centre for regional political studies, MGIMO), Professor L.N.Voronkov (Department of European Integration, MGIMO), Professor M.V.Strezhneva (Department of European Integration MGIMO), Associate Professor N.Y.Kaveshnikov (Department of European Integration, MGIMO). 30 local lecturers attended the seminar and received official MGIMO certificates under the programme.
