Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice President of the Commission, announced today the appointment of Vygaudas Usackas the new Head of Delegation to the Russian Federation.

November 23, 2012 the European centre of Excellence in cooperation with the NATO Information Office in Moscow arranged expert meeting on the Russia-NATO cooperation and their common contribution to the European security cooperation. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, diplomats of NATO, leading Russian experts, MGIMO-University professors and students.

This is the second conference of its kind, the first was held in Washington in March 2011. The participants discussed issues related to the change of global and regional environmental cooperation in the security sphere. Thus, the Moscow meeting reinforced the tradition of joint expert discussion.
